The overall objective of this paper is to evaluate the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the productivity of the Portuguese hotel sector. Another is to contribute to the identification of mechanisms that explain the relationship between ICT and efficiency within the hotel sector through DEA-MPI methodology. In this way, we intend to make a contribution to the investigation of the so-called productivity paradox of ICT, through the development of a methodology that seeks to overcome some methodological deficiencies present in studies conducted.
